The Edmonton Clansmen Rugby Club is a historic and successful rugby brand that has been around since 1967. Founded by Davie Graham, the club initially entered two teams into the Edmonton Rugby Union - one in the First Division and one in the Second Division. Despite being new to the game, the club quickly made its mark by winning the Edmonton Sevens Tournament in its first season.
Throughout the years, the Clansmen Rugby Club has achieved great success and built a strong reputation. In the 70s, they acquired the legendary Grottie Towers, a three-story building in downtown Edmonton, which became their clubhouse. The club went on to create Grottie Two and Grottie Three before purchasing their current clubhouse, Dun Grottie, in 1982.
They have also added a women's team and have gone on several tours around the world. Aside from their on-field achievements, the Clansmen Rugby Club is known for its involvement in off-the-field activities that contribute to the success of the club. They welcome individuals of all ages, sizes, and interests who are passionate about rugby and want to maximize their own potential, whether in playing or organizing.
