Alison, the founder of Clara, established this family business in 2012 in Cornwall, England. At Clara, we have a deep passion for working with natural materials and aim to deliver exceptional quality goods. Initially, we began by creating children's natural felt sewing kits, and over the years, our product range has expanded to include clothing, accessories for both children and women, as well as a house and home collection.
Alison's love for textiles and sewing sparked the idea for Clara. Even though her own children have grown up, her trusty old sewing machine continues to be an integral part of the creative process, helping her make samples of new products. With the arrival of her four adorable grandchildren, her passion for children's sewing has been reignited.
Matilda, Amalie, Isaac, and Noah often unknowingly become our models, making the process fun for everyone involved. We value our customers' input and enjoy engaging with them at fairs and events in Cornwall. Their opinions and ideas are incredibly valuable to us as we continue to develop new and exciting products and designs.
