ClaremontRoadRunners

Claremont Road Runners, established in 1981, is a vibrant running club located in the heart of Newcastle City Centre. Operating out of the Sport and Fitness Centre at Newcastle University, the club fosters a fun and welcoming environment for runners of all abilities, from 18 to 85 years old.

Members meet twice weekly for training sessions, focusing on various run formats, including structured interval training on Wednesdays and enjoyable long runs on Mondays. The club also supports those new to running with programs like "Couch to 5K." Beyond training, Claremont Road Runners hosts engaging events, such as quarterly handicaps and the annual Weetslade Relay, promoting both competition and social interaction.

Becoming a member offers advantages like free entry to inter-club races, discounts at local shops, and the opportunity to form lasting friendships. Whether you're aiming for a marathon or just looking to stay active, Claremont Road Runners welcomes you to join their community for an unforgettable running experience.
