Clariah, short for Common Lab Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities, is a distributed research infrastructure designed for the humanities and social sciences. As a national counterpart to CLARIN and DARIAH, Clariah is deeply embedded in the Europe-wide ESFRI enterprise. Clariah provides researchers with access to vast collections of digital data and innovative, user-friendly applications for data processing.
The infrastructure ensures that both the data and applications are managed in a sustainable manner, allowing future researchers to benefit from them. It caters to a wide range of disciplines, from literary researchers, historians, and archaeologists to linguists, speech technologists, and media scientists. In addition to its national and European commitments, Clariah participates in international collaborations with various networks and projects serving the digital humanities community.
This includes partnerships with organizations such as DASISH, EUDAT, Research Data Alliance, META-SHARE, and EHRI, among others. Clariah's involvement in Europeana and related digital heritage initiatives further expands access to a vast online collection of digitized items from European museums, libraries, archives, and multimedia collections.
