Classmate

Classmate is a Botswana-based inclusive social e-learning platform designed to help students and educators access educational content and learn collaboratively. Its aim is to improve and empower students across the country through online education. The platform serves learners from Primary standards 4–7, Junior Forms 1–3, and Senior Forms 4–5, bringing students from different communities and schools into shared virtual classrooms.

Classmate combines interactive text and audio learning with mobile and web access, allowing students to study in ways and places that suit them. Personalized learning journeys let students progress at their own pace while connecting with peers. Teachers can assess learners, track progress, and provide feedback in real time. The platform also promotes exploration beyond the syllabus and offers virtual reality learning experiences to make lessons more immersive. Classmate’s services include access to educational content and a school management offering called iTrain School Management. By connecting students, teachers, and learning resources, Classmate aims to make education more accessible, engaging, and collaborative.
