CLAUDIANUM n.o. is a nonprofit organization based in Modra, Slovakia, providing day social care for adults with intellectual and combined disabilities. Operating since 2008 through its Claudianum Rehabilitation Centre, the organization helps clients develop their abilities, strengthen independence, and prepare for possible employment in a sheltered workshop or workplace.
Its services include work and social rehabilitation. Work-based activities draw on occupational and art therapy to develop practical skills, fine motor abilities, and work habits. Social rehabilitation supports communication, social skills, relationships, and confidence in navigating everyday life. The centre also offers a welcoming place for meaningful daily activities and community connection, including creative and sporting gatherings that bring people with and without disabilities together.
Clients create handmade products, including embroidered, crocheted, wire-work, and beaded items, as part of their rehabilitation. These are available for purchase at the centre, with proceeds used to buy therapeutic aids and materials. The organization also welcomes donations, volunteers, professional support, and corporate partnerships to help sustain its work.
