Central Land Council is a brand that represents the interests of Aboriginal communities in Central Australia. Comprised of 90 elected Aboriginal women and men, the council fights for their rights, helps them reclaim and manage their land, and realizes the opportunities that come with property rights recognition. They operate under the Aboriginal Land Rights Act, which allows traditional owners to claim back land in the Northern Territory.

Covering approximately 417,000 square kilometers of land in Central Australia, the council holds inalienable freehold title. While this title cannot be sold or mortgaged, it can be leased through agreements with the traditional owners. The council's main goal is to ensure that Aboriginal people can continue to thrive on their land, preserving their unique cultures, languages, and ecological knowledge.

Operating in a vast and challenging region, the council represents roughly 24,000 Aboriginal constituents who live in dispersed communities and speak more than fifteen different languages. The council's work involves extensive travel to work with constituents and address their unique challenges, such as homelessness, unemployment, climate change impacts, and health disparities.
