Clean and Prosperous

Clean & Prosperous is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to advancing smart clean energy solutions that bolster Washington's economy, enhance public health, and foster a resilient future. By championing innovative strategies to reduce carbon emissions, Clean & Prosperous connects policymakers, businesses, Tribal leaders, and communities, ensuring that carbon reduction initiatives yield significant benefits statewide. The organization focuses on four key areas: convening leaders to promote market-based climate solutions, electrifying transportation infrastructure to cut emissions, educating stakeholders about climate policy, and advocating for bipartisan climate measures that support local economies.

Notably, Clean & Prosperous plays a crucial role in implementing Washington’s ambitious Climate Commitment Act, which sets stringent limits on carbon emissions and reinvests proceeds into community-focused climate initiatives. Through partnerships and programs that promote electric vehicles and zero-emission technologies, Clean & Prosperous is leading Washington’s transition to a sustainable energy future, creating jobs and improving air quality while addressing the urgent demands of climate change
