Clearance Check

Clearance Check is an independent private consultancy based in Cape Town, South Africa, that helps individuals navigate police clearance certificate applications. It is not affiliated with SAPS, Home Affairs, or any government agency, and it does not issue certificates or assist with law enforcement employment. Official certificates are issued only by the relevant government authority.

The consultancy supports applicants by assessing their needs, reviewing documents against requirements, coordinating submission, and providing follow-up updates. Its guidance is intended to help clients understand each step and avoid delays caused by missing or incorrect paperwork. Clearance Check states that its own document preparation and submission process typically takes five to seven business days once submitted; this is not the government’s certificate-issuing timeframe.

Police clearance certificates may be needed for immigration, visa applications, employment or study overseas, citizenship, and overseas adoption. The site also lists Schengen visa assistance, Saudi visa assistance, document apostille, and document translation among its services. Prospective clients can make a no-obligation enquiry to learn which requirements apply to their situation.
