Clear Light Cedar is a New Mexico business crafting small-batch fragrance, body care, incense, and ritual products inspired by the high desert. Established in 1971, the brand centers its collection on the distinctive aroma of New Mexico cedar, with essence extracted from cedar needles harvested in the state. Its scent is described as evergreen, resinous, warm, earthy, and softly sweet—a fragrance intended to evoke the landscape and offer a connection to place.
The range includes cedar essence oil, room and linen spray, scented candles, reed diffusers, body wash, and lightweight lotion, alongside Southwest-inspired gifts. Clear Light Cedar also makes handcrafted incense, including cedar and piñon cones and slow-burning Spirit Sticks that are sun-dried and cured in the high desert. The company says its cedar essence retains the original fragrance formula created by Joshua Peine, while some product bases have been updated. Its lotion is made with 95% organic ingredients and plant-based moisturizers.
