Clement Pang

Clement Pang is an engineer, investor, and three-time founder with more than 20 years of experience building technology companies and large-scale data infrastructure. Raised in Hong Kong and educated at Rice University, he began his career at Google, where he worked on fraud and abuse systems and received a Founders’ Award. He later helped found GLMX, a financial technology platform, and co-founded Wavefront, a real-time analytics company acquired by VMware for $400 million. At VMware, he served as a vice president and principal engineer, contributing to significant business growth.

Most recently, Pang co-founded Lirvana Labs, which developed AI learning companions and the children’s brand Yeti Confetti Kids. He is now an entrepreneur-in-residence at Sutter Hill Ventures, exploring new ideas at the intersection of AI, data, and human impact. He invests in technical founders and offers support with architecture, go-to-market strategy, hiring, and the challenges of company building. His approach emphasizes solving real problems, building reliable products, clear communication, and long-term conviction.
