About Buddhist Churches of America President
The Cleveland Buddhist Temple, located in Cleveland, Ohio, is the only Jodo Shinshu Buddhist Temple in the area, serving the Forest City and sharing the Dharma. Their primary aim is to provide a welcoming space for individuals to come as they are and learn about Buddhism and the teachings of Shinran Shonin. The temple offers monthly services, which have recently resumed, and are open to people of all backgrounds.
They are collocated with the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Cleveland at 21600 Shaker Blvd, Shaker Heights, OH 44122. The temple recently reorganized to a more simple structure in order to continue sharing the Buddha Dharma and Shin Buddhist teachings. They now have Rev.
Ron Miyamura of the Midwest Buddhist Temple in Chicago as their Supervising Minister and Rev. Anita as the local leadership. The temple encourages formal membership by joining the Midwest Buddhist Temple in Chicago.
They welcome donations and offer opportunities to support their mission. The temple's message remains the same: Come as you are and be present in the here and now
