About Cleveland Print Room
Cleveland Print Room is a nonprofit community darkroom, education center, workspace, and photographic gallery located in Cleveland, Ohio. Our mission is to advance the art and appreciation of photography in all its forms. We provide affordable access to a community darkroom and workspace, allowing photographers to work together and collaborate in a supportive environment.
Additionally, we offer gallery exhibitions, educational programs, and collaborative outreach initiatives, working with artists locally, nationally, and internationally. Our goal is to strengthen the community by elevating the art and appreciation of photography. Founded in 2012, Cleveland Print Room was born out of the need to preserve darkroom facilities that were being decommissioned in schools and arts centers.
Recognizing the resurgence in emulsion-based photography, we acquired equipment and created a space where photographers can hone their craft. We are conveniently located in the Superior arts district, with easy accessibility for photographers from all over. We are grateful for the support of our funders and sponsors, without whom our work would not be possible.
