About Cleveland Street Alliance
Cleveland Street Alliance is spearheading a transformative restoration initiative in Clearwater, Florida, focusing on four historic landmarks: the Peoples Bank, the Telephone Building, the F.W. Woolworth Co., and the Brown Brothers Building. This project aims to preserve the unique architectural heritage of these structures, while creating vibrant spaces for the community.
The Peoples Bank, dating from 1910, will be restored to its Mediterranean Revival style, accommodating a restaurant and creative offices, alongside a restored historical clock. The Telephone Building, originally constructed in 1923, will unveil its original brick façade, featuring dining options and office spaces that showcase the building's historical charm. The F.W. Woolworth Co. Finally, the Brown Brothers Building, a local icon since 1924, will be revitalized with boutique shops and office spaces, retaining its distinctive yellow brick façade. This project not only honors history but also supports a sustainable and vibrant future for downtown Clearwater.
