Nano Bio Optics Lab

The Nano-bio Optics Lab is a research laboratory in the Biomedical Engineering Department at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa. It develops novel microscopy tools and applies them to investigate biological questions at the nanoscale. The lab’s work brings together optics, imaging, computation, and biology, with interests spanning super-resolution microscopy, computational microscopy and imaging, deep learning, and three-dimensional microscopy.

Its research areas also include live-cell microscopy, fluorescence, single-molecule localization microscopy, point-spread-function engineering, and wavefront shaping. The lab lists chromatin, optical mapping, refractometry, and microfluidics among its topics, reflecting a broad focus on methods for observing and understanding biological structures and processes at very small scales.
