The Carrie-Lynn Grazette Cancer Foundation of Atlanta, Inc. is an Atlanta-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting children with cancer who live in Barbados and their families. Named in memory of Carrie-Lynn Grazette, a teenager from St. Philip, Barbados, who was diagnosed with leukemia, the foundation grew from a fundraising effort organized by Barbadians living in Atlanta to help her family during her treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. The group’s first Barbados Day in Atlanta, held in 2015, raised funds and awareness, leading to the foundation’s establishment.
The organization provides financial assistance to help families meet medical-care needs, while also sharing information about treatments and resources that may not be readily accessible in Barbados. Its work centers on offering practical support and hope to young patients and their loved ones. The foundation raises funds and cancer awareness through community events, galas, and other initiatives, and welcomes partnerships with organizations, medical professionals, businesses, and individuals who want to support Barbadian children facing cancer.
