Yanayi Haki Afriqya

Climate Justice Africa, also known as Yanayi Haki Afriqya (YHA), is an organization working to address environmental and socio-economic challenges affecting communities across Africa. Its mission is to advance climate justice through grassroots mobilization, community empowerment, policy advocacy, capacity building, and collaborative initiatives that support environmental sustainability. The organization emphasizes that climate justice and gender justice are connected, and its work centers on African women, young people, and communities facing climate-related challenges.

YHA offers climate education and awareness campaigns, training, and community-based projects that strengthen adaptation skills and promote sustainable agricultural practices. It engages policymakers at national, regional, and international levels, advocating for inclusive policies that reflect the needs of vulnerable communities. Research and innovation help identify climate adaptation and mitigation approaches, while partnerships with NGOs, government bodies, academic institutions, and the private sector extend its reach. The organization also shares knowledge through projects, newsletters, resources, and learning activities. Guided by the belief that information is power, Climate Justice Africa aims to build resilience and support equitable, sustainable livelihoods.
