ClimateActionKC, also known as Building Energy Exchange KC (BE-Ex KC), is dedicated to advancing energy performance for the regional community and the planet. As an initiative of Climate Action KC in partnership with the Mid-America Regional Council, BE-Ex KC works in coordination with Kansas City's Regional Climate Action Plan to support local communities in transforming their buildings to be high-performing, low-carbon, and energy efficient. BE-Ex KC offers a range of programs and resources to help achieve these goals.

Their initiatives prioritize measures that reduce utility costs and significantly improve community health. They also connect building owners and managers to tools and services that increase energy efficiency and overall performance in the built environment. Furthermore, BE-Ex KC is actively engaged in developing best practices for upgrading and decarbonizing buildings through national and international partnerships.

Additionally, BE-Ex KC is actively working to close financing gaps, introducing new financial products to catalyze a market for affordable, healthy, and energy-efficient housing. By addressing these issues, BE-Ex KC aims to position Kansas City as a resilient and carbon-neutral region. Join ClimateActionKC and BE-Ex KC in their mission to combat greenhouse gas emissions and create a more sustainable future for Kansas City and beyond
