About Climate Change Foundation
Climate Change Foundation, formerly known as the Climate Change Center, is a Korean nonprofit organization established in 2008 as the country’s first specialist institution dedicated to climate action. It connects government, businesses, academia, local authorities, and civil society to turn shared ideas into practical responses to the climate crisis.
The foundation works across global cooperation, policy research and public engagement, and green leadership development. It partners with international organizations, governments, and companies, supports voluntary carbon markets, and helps strengthen climate response capacity in developing countries. Its research and convening activities aim to improve the direction and implementation of climate policy. Through leadership programs, the Climate Change Leadership Academy, and Climitus College, it develops climate leaders and builds young people’s capacity for climate action. The foundation also operates AORA, a platform supporting voluntary climate participation and carbon-reduction practices through carbon offsetting. Its wider initiatives include the Asia Green Growth organization and a local-government council focused on climate response and energy transition.
