Climate Justice Assembly (CJA) is a vital coalition that unites people’s movements and organizations striving for environmental justice in Bangladesh and beyond. Scheduled for November 17-18, 2023, the Assembly will bring together over 700 community leaders, including fishers, farmers, workers, women, indigenous peoples, and youth from coastal and vulnerable regions severely affected by climate change. The central theme of this year's gathering is "Advancing People's Action Towards Just and Equitable Transition in Bangladesh," highlighting the urgent need for collaborative action against the climate crisis.

A key outcome of the Assembly will be the articulation of the “People’s Urgent Demands,” which aim to galvanize national, regional, and global campaigning and mobilization efforts. CJA emphasizes grassroots participation and advocacy, seeking to amplify voices that are often marginalized in climate discussions.
