About Climate Optics
The Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO) is a non-governmental organization in Pakistan focused on driving positive changes in climate change policies, behaviors, and practices. Through their project "Youth for Civic Action and Reporting on Climate Change through Citizen Journalism," funded by the Commonwealth Foundation, SSDO aims to empower youth to understand, report, and advocate for policy decisions related to climate change as citizen journalists. By enhancing reporting on climate change in various media platforms, SSDO seeks to raise awareness and drive advocacy for sustainable behavior change among citizens and authorities.
Founded in 2015 and registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860, SSDO conducts research-based advocacy on issues such as peace, sustainable development, democratic governance, human rights, and countering violent extremism. Through partnerships with various stakeholders, SSDO works towards achieving its vision and mission through research, advocacy, capacity development, and community engagement
