Prior to ACTA, there was no coordinated mechanism to connect clinical researchers with governments, healthcare policymakers, and consumers on issues impacting investigator-led clinical trials in Australia.

Through their mission of Better Health Through Best Evidence, ACTA aims to promote effective and cost-effective healthcare in Australia by generating evidence through clinical trials and quality registries to support decisions made by health practitioners, policy-makers, and consumers.
