About clintonswcd.org
The Clinton County Soil and Water Conservation District (CCSWCD) is a public body and legal subdivision of Indiana state government, serving residents and private landowners throughout Clinton County. Its role is to coordinate local conservation of soil, water, and related natural resources. Organized by public referendum in 1967, the District provides technical, financial, and educational assistance, working with landowners, local government, and partner organizations to protect natural resources and improve watershed health.
CCSWCD offers conservation assistance programs, educational programs, and sales and rental services. Its work supports practices that reduce soil erosion and sediment and nutrient pollution, improve soil quality, and enhance fish and wildlife habitat. The District and its partners are implementing state-approved watershed management plans in the South Fork Wildcat Creek and Brown’s Wonder-Sugar Creek watersheds. Additional resources include construction stormwater permit information, plat reviews, reports, and invasive species surveys. The District also shares conservation news, events, and email updates, and offers a 2026 native tree and shrub sale.
