About CLIVAR
CLIVAR, or Climate and Ocean: Variability, Predictability, and Change, is a vital component of the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP), launched in 1995. Its mission focuses on enhancing our understanding of oceanic and climatic interactions, particularly in relation to how they shape global climate patterns. CLIVAR's research encompasses a variety of themes, including the Tropical Basin Interaction, Regional Sea Level Change, and the impacts of marine heatwaves.
