A. S. D.
CL Miners is a basketball organization based in Caltanissetta, Sicily, founded by people whose experience spans playing, coaching, managing, and supporting the sport. Its mission is to give local young people the opportunity to grow and enjoy basketball through a new sporting project, while returning to the community the value its founders have gained from the game. The club aims to build a competitive team and become a point of reference for Sicilian basketball.
Alongside sporting development, it places strong emphasis on education, ethical values, and helping young people mature. The Miners draw inspiration from both the determination associated with Caltanissetta’s mining heritage and the teamwork and personal effort required on the court. They also look to the NBA for a modern, appealing sporting identity while remaining rooted in their local community.
The organization’s activities include basketball programs and a Training Camp, and its news highlights teams and events, including the Miners and Lady Miners and the Trofeo delle Miniere. A. S.
