Clos Monicord is a family-owned vineyard and boutique winery on Bordeaux’s Right Bank, owned by the Bakx family since 2000. Set on a secluded limestone plateau in Vérac, France, the enclosed property is surrounded by stone walls, shrubs, brambles, and hundreds of trees. Its approach centres on preserving biodiversity, with vines grown organically and under certified biodynamic practices, including Demeter and Ecocert certification. Clos Monicord produces authentic fine wines, some made naturally without added sulphites or other additives, and offers a wine catalogue.
The vineyard welcomes visitors to book wine tastings and tours of the property, where the family shares its way of life and the site’s distinctive environment. Clos Monicord also hosts an exhibition space showcasing original works by visual artist Audrey Bakx, including drawings, illustrations, prints, sculptures, and installations. Smaller objects and merchandise are available as well. Bringing together wine, nature, hospitality, and art, the brand presents a personal, understated experience rooted in authenticity and respect for its surroundings.
