Closter Farm & Livestock Co.

Closter Farm is a small farm based in Closter, New Jersey, serving local communities in the South Hudson Valley and New York City. It grows more than 70 seasonal vegetables and raises heritage-breed poultry using regenerative and organic practices. The farm describes its approach as grounded in living soil, biodiversity, pasture-based animal care, farmworker care, and organic integrity. It is USDA Organic certified and meets additional standards of the Real Organic Project.

Alongside its own produce and animals, Closter Farm gathers food from small producers it knows and trusts. Its farm market, open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 681 Closter Dock Road, offers local organic produce, meats, dairy, and artisan foods. Customers can also explore beef shares, CSA, Thanksgiving turkey, dog food, plants, and seasonal offerings such as a plant sale and Mother’s Day products. The farm raises 100% grass-fed cattle on certified organic pastures in the Catskills, with limited beef shares available.
