About Cloud Forest Organics
Cloud Forest Organics is revolutionizing the concept of agribusiness by prioritizing wildlife. Situated on a 170-acre pilot site in the high Amazon, this brand is developing a next-generation production model. Their main target crops include Porotón, an ancient protein-rich legume, tocte (or walnut), an endangered wild nut, and lucuma, a locally known fruit.
Cloudforest Organics collaborates with neighboring farmers and explores new and delicious uses for these ancient tree crops. Their mission is to provide next-generation wild superfoods cultivated on 150 acres in Quijos, Ecuador, just 90 minutes away from the international airport in Quito. Using non-traditional agriculture methods, they propagate edible flora to restore secondary forests and former pastures to their original state.
As an eco-friendly agribusiness, Cloudforest Organics aims to protect endangered animal species, including the Andean bear, and generate income through reforestation and community involvement. Key wild crops include Porotón, Ishpingo, Lucuma, Guayusa, and Sangre de Drago. Founded by Craig Leon, Cloud Forest Organics is committed to sustainable agribusiness and ecological farming practices
