Clrcs is a brand that is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities. As a non-profit, charitable organization established in 1964, Clrcs offers a wide range of supports and services for adults and youth in transition. Their mission is to work with others to enhance the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.
The brand is committed to upholding five essential life experiences: Choice, Community Presence, Community Participation, Competence, and Respect. Clrcs is directed by a 12-member voluntary Board of Directors consisting of parents, self-advocates, and other interested individuals who share their vision for an inclusive community. They have two sites, one in Renfrew and one in Arnprior, and are funded by the Ontario Government, Ministry of Community and Social Services.
With a rich history and numerous milestones over the years, Clrcs has been an invaluable resource for the community. They offer a variety of residential options, community access supports, and information and referral/advocacy services. Additionally, they provide respite planning and support for self-advocates.
