Club des Amis Plongeurs is an associative underwater sports club founded in 1997 and based at the Centre Aquatique Laure et Florent Manaudou in Colombes, France. Affiliated with the FFESSM and the PASS+ program, it welcomes adults and children for scuba diving and freediving, with pool training every Wednesday evening outside school holidays.
The scuba diving section helps members discover the underwater world, develop their skills and prepare for FFESSM qualifications from Level 1 to Level 3. Children may join from age 10 under the club’s family participation requirements. The freediving section offers training in breathing control, relaxation and pool disciplines, with pathways toward FFESSM levels; children can participate from age 12. The club also prepares members for RIFAP scuba-diving first aid and RIFAA freediving first aid certifications.
Led by volunteer instructors, the club supplements pool sessions with theory classes, monthly training at the Argenteuil diving pit, other pit and quarry outings, and themed trips in France and abroad. Essential scuba equipment is available to borrow.
