Grupo Ensidesa de Actividades Subacuáticas (G.E.A.S.) is a diving and spearfishing club based in Castrillón, Asturias, Spain. Founded on 8 November 1966 by enthusiasts from the former ENSIDESA steelworks, the club has remained active for decades and is among the oldest diving and spearfishing clubs in Asturias and Spain. Its activities take place mainly in the Cantabrian Sea, where members explore the region’s underwater environment.
G.E.A.S. brings together people interested in the underwater world through activities including scuba diving, spearfishing, freediving training and underwater photography. The club also takes part in community and seasonal events, such as the Día de la Santina and a port-cleaning activity in Cudillero. People can contact the club to learn about membership and its activities. G.E.A.S. also helps members and non-members apply for a federative diving licence, which includes diving insurance through the Asturian Federation of Underwater Activities. The club welcomes visitors at its social headquarters in Santiago del Monte, open on Fridays from 7 to 9 p.m.
