Club Italiano Sleddog

Club Italiano Sleddog is an Italian association dedicated to sled-dog sports and activities with dogs that pull. It brings together athletes, organizes events and competitions across Italy, and provides training. The club has FISTC accreditation and benefits from WSA accreditation through FIDASC, of which it is a recognized member under the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Sled-dog sports traditionally involve a musher guiding dogs that pull a sled over snow. The club also highlights wheeled disciplines, allowing teams to train and compete when snow is unavailable. International competitions commonly include northern breeds such as Alaskan Malamutes, Siberian Huskies, Greenland Dogs, Samoyeds, Canadian Eskimo Dogs and Yakutian Laikas. Some national competitions also offer a category for mixed-breed dogs. Outside official competition, the activity can be practiced with dogs of any breed, with respect for their behavior and individual characteristics.

The club shares information about the sport, its disciplines, membership and events, including dryland races such as the event featured in Forni di Sopra.
