SAKE is a national and international paddling club that is dedicated to promoting the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of paddle sports to the community at large. As Seattle's oldest and largest dragon boat club, SAKE has a rich history and has expanded its offerings to include stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) and outrigger canoe (OC). This 501(c)3 non-profit organization is run by an executive board comprised of club members who are passionate about their mission and the sport.
SAKE aims to support and train amateur paddling athletes for competition while also highlighting the physical, social, and emotional advantages of paddle sports. They provide a safe training environment, advocacy, and numerous opportunities for paddling enthusiasts. Additionally, SAKE actively builds relationships within the community and with other paddling clubs.
