About Capital Markets Authority
The Capital Market Authority (CMA) of Rwanda is a regulatory institution established under Law No. 057/2021 bis, focusing on the development and regulation of the nation’s capital markets. It aims to create a competitive financial center in Rwanda by mobilizing long-term capital and ensuring an orderly, fair, and transparent market environment.
The CMA oversees various financial instruments, including commodities exchanges, warehouse receipt systems, and collective investment schemes. CMA provides a range of services, including licensing, regulatory frameworks, investor education, and corporate governance initiatives.
