About Central Missouri Community Action
Central Missouri Community Action (CMCA) is a registered nonprofit organization that has been supporting low-income individuals and families since 1964. They offer a wide range of services to meet the specific needs of families and empower them towards self-reliance. CMCA follows a whole family approach, meaning they work with families to provide support for any additional needs by referring them to other programs offered.
Their services include Head Start, BRIDGE, Energy Assistance, ShowMe Healthy Relationships, Healthcare Advocate, Housing Development, SkillUP, Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program, Start Your Own Business, and Weatherization. CMCA aims to build relationships, strengthen resilience, and improve the quality of life for all members of the community. As part of a national network of community action agencies, CMCA is dedicated to eradicating the causes and conditions of poverty.
