About CNAG
The Centro Nacional de Análisis Genómico (CNAG) is Spain’s largest centre for genomic analysis and an internationally recognised genomics institution. Its mission is to contribute to better human health through advanced genomic research and analysis. CNAG provides DNA analysis in areas including cancer, rare diseases and population genomics, alongside long-read, transcriptome, epigenomic, 3D, single-cell and spatial genomics. Its capabilities span the research process, from biorepository services, sample preparation and sequencing production to bioinformatics, variant analysis, data platforms and software development.
CNAG’s research teams work across biomedical and comparative genomics, genome assembly and annotation, structural and functional genomics, and single-cell and spatial genomics. The centre also supports education and research through undergraduate and master’s opportunities, doctoral and postdoctoral programmes, projects, publications, and scientific events. Through its technical services, research programmes and collaborations, CNAG contributes genomic expertise to biomedical science and related fields, including studies of disease, tissue biology and species conservation. Its website also provides information about the centre’s organisation, quality policies, career opportunities and public tenders.
