The Confederação Nacional dos Caçadores Portugueses (CNCP) is Portugal’s national confederation for hunters, with more than 30 years of work defending the hunting sector. It brings together regional and specialist federations representing hunting and fishing communities across the country, providing a national platform for their interests and activities.

The CNCP website serves as an information resource for hunters and affiliated organisations. It covers legislation relating to hunting, firearms and fishing, and provides information about hunting and fishing licences and sport shooting. Visitors can also find updates on sector issues, regulatory changes, meetings and competitions, including national shooting and hunting events. The confederation shares programmes and publications, including ALVA, its digital magazine.

Alongside advocacy and information, the CNCP publishes practical reminders on responsible field conduct, emergency communication and wildfire response, including guidance for participants in the “each hunter a lookout” programme. Through its network of federations, news and resources, the organisation supports engagement with Portugal’s hunting sector and keeps members and the public informed about relevant developments.
