The Consortium national de formation en santé (CNFS) is a pan-Canadian organization that offers French-language healthcare training. With 712 graduates from CNFS-supported programs in 2019-2020 and 108 French-language healthcare programs offered in the same year, CNFS aims to address the need for French-language healthcare services in Canada. They have also funded 37 research projects in healthcare over the past two years.
In a survey, 96% of CNFS graduates reported offering services in French as part of their employment. CNFS collaborates with various institutions across Canada, such as the University of Moncton, Collège Boréal, and the University of Ottawa, to provide French-language healthcare education. They also offer resources like the Carrefour de l'offre active, which assists in finding healthcare employment opportunities.
With the support of Santé Canada, CNFS plays a crucial role in promoting French-language healthcare education and services nationwide. Contact them at cnfs@acufc. ca or visit their website for more information
