CNTVChile, short for Consejo Nacional de Televisión, is an autonomous organization in Chile that ensures the proper functioning of television services in the country. With a commitment to providing quality, diverse, and pluralistic television, CNTV aims to create a space where audiences can access high-quality programming within the framework of freedom of expression. CNTV offers a wide range of products and services to fulfill its mission.
These include the supervision and monitoring of television content, the promotion of cultural and educational programs, and the funding of over 450 series and programs since 1993. CNTV also conducts studies and research in the field of television services and provides official statistics. Moreover, CNTV manages the allocation and modification of television broadcast concessions, ensuring fair and non-discriminatory access to secondary signal usage.
