Syracuse Musketeers, also known as CNY Duel, is a fencing club based in East Syracuse, New York, offering instruction in the sport and traditional techniques of swordplay. Classes are available for children ages 7 to 12 and adults ages 13 and up, with groups limited to approximately 12 to 15 participants. Led by Coach Lubomir “Lubo” Kalpaktchiev, a veteran instructor and international fencing competitor, training covers warm-ups, sword handling, en-garde positioning, footwork, parries, bladework, targeting, and tournament rules.
Children learn through games and bouts, while competitive students can prepare for regional tournaments. The club also offers summer camps, day passes, private lessons, group rates, and memberships that allow members to attend multiple sessions. Children’s memberships start at $190 per month and adult memberships at $200, with savings available for longer terms and qualifying group bookings.
Classes run Monday through Thursday, with separate schedules for children and adults. Syracuse Musketeers welcomes newcomers interested in fitness, fun, skill development, or competitive fencing
