CO Ambérieu

The Club d’Orientation d’Ambérieu-en-Bugey, known as CO Ambérieu, is a welcoming orienteering club based in Ambérieu-en-Bugey, France. It presents orienteering as an activity open to everyone and provides information about joining, training sessions and the sport’s different formats, including foot and mountain-bike orienteering. The club organises local events and competitions, such as urban races, relays, middle-distance courses and stages of the Ain Tour de CO. Its calendar also includes multi-day events and activities for different levels of experience.

A key resource is the Espace Loisirs Orientation in the Bois des Brosses: an open-access area with 100 control points across five square kilometres of orienteering map. The club offers downloadable courses and information on route options, safety and technical advice, helping participants explore independently and responsibly. Its website also shares club news, event information, results, practical guidance, a forum and a shop. CO Ambérieu welcomes enquiries from prospective members and provides details about its organisations and training, while inviting support through sponsorship.
