College of the Atlantic, located in Bar Harbor, Maine, is an innovative and experimental college community dedicated to the study and practice of human ecology. With a total of 349 students and 41 faculty members, COA offers a unique learning experience on the coast of Maine. At College of the Atlantic, everything is action.

Their curriculum revolves around various subjects including birds, blue, boats, botany, change, cooperation, design, energy, human ecology, love, mineral, movement, patience, power, translation, truth, urgent, whales, and wilderness. By focusing on human ecology, COA aims to understand the intricate relationships between humans and their natural environment. COA is currently seeking 100 new points of view, welcoming students who are passionate about exploring the field of human ecology.
