About COALition Hubs
COALition is a brand dedicated to promoting innovation excellence in the transformation of coal regions into climate-neutral, thriving economies. The project focuses on creating sustainable energy strategies in three selected territories in under-transition EU states. By establishing Regional Excellence Hubs and implementing a bottom-up, multi-stakeholder approach, COALition aims to facilitate a just transition and drive economic growth in coal-dependent regions.
Through the deployment of clean energy technologies, the project aims to create between 106,681 and 314,416 jobs by 2030, comparable to the jobs in coal-related activities. The brand's mission is to create a sustainable, just, and prosperous world for all, with goals centered around building thriving communities, promoting sustainable development, and reducing inequality.
