Co-Anon

Co-Anon Family Groups is a 12-step fellowship for people whose lives have been affected by another person’s alcohol or substance use. Its members include family members, partners, relatives, friends and people who identify as codependent. The community offers a place to share experience, strength and hope, and to find support among others facing similar challenges.

Co-Anon’s purpose is to help the families and friends of people with addiction. Through meetings and the practice of the 12 steps, members are encouraged to focus on what they can change: themselves and their own recovery. The fellowship aims to offer welcome and comfort while helping participants develop a more positive approach to life.

The organization provides online and in-person meetings, guidance for newcomers, information about meeting formats and resources on the 12 steps, traditions and promises. It also shares literature and current news, and offers opportunities to contribute through service and committees. Co-Anon meetings are open to anyone, and newcomers may attend any meeting.
