Coastal Autism Academy (CAA) provides residential living and education services for children and adolescents with autism and developmental delays. Based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the organization focuses on person-centered care, tailoring support to each child’s individual needs. Its approach combines residential living, educational services, therapies, individualized care, parent involvement, and medical services.
CAA helps residents develop activities of daily living, including skills related to toileting, grooming, hygiene, and eating, while supporting their education and preparation to participate as productively and responsibly in the community as they are able. The academy serves children who may need support with communication, sensory integration, transitions, personal safety, behavior, or functioning in a traditional school setting.
Recognizing that residential or private school placement can be an emotional decision for families, CAA emphasizes compassionate, coordinated, and comprehensive care, with the goal of giving parents greater peace of mind. The organization also shares campus updates, events, and community stories through Instagram and provides information about employment opportunities for people interested in joining its dedicated staff.
