Coastal Cottages Northumberland

Coastal Cottages Northumberland is a small, family-owned business offering luxury, dog-friendly holiday cottages in Northumberland. Founded by owners who wanted to create the kind of high-standard accommodation they struggled to find for their own family and dogs, the company focuses on friendly, flexible service and memorable stays. Its privately owned and managed cottages allow guests to book directly with the owners, without agent fees or third-party commissions.

The collection includes Gertie’s Getaway, Tilly’s Lookout, Dexter’s Den, Shane’s Retreat and The Hideaway in Warkworth, with The View in Cresswell also featured. The properties are located in coastal areas including Amble, Warkworth and Cresswell, providing a base for exploring Northumberland’s coast and attractions. Guests can expect carefully maintained accommodation, luxury bedding, thorough cleaning and locally sourced welcome packs. The business also shares information about destinations such as Alnwick, Bamburgh, Alnmouth and Holy Island, helping visitors plan their trips. Gertie’s Getaway received Tripadvisor Certificates of Excellence in 2020 and 2021, and the company reports annual Airbnb Superhost status since 2020.
