Coastal Kindness is a non-profit company founded in July 2020 and based in Kenton-on-Sea, in South Africa’s Eastern Cape. It works to strengthen community health and wellbeing across the Sunshine Coast, responding to local needs and helping bridge gaps between state and private health services. Its support is practical and personal, serving both community members and healthcare workers.
The organisation offers assistance to people in need, provides healthcare and wellbeing education, and supports local doctors, clinics and medical services with resources where possible. Its programmes include volunteer medical first responders, a dementia support group, bereavement support, ad hoc trauma counselling and mental health workshops. Coastal Kindness also shares guidance and educational resources through its blog and community updates.
Community involvement is central to its work. Local organisations, leaders and residents can help spread information, coordinate support, share learning materials and contribute to fundraising. Through its services, volunteers and community partnerships, Coastal Kindness aims to foster a healthier, more caring Kenton-on-Sea and surrounding area.
