Cochrane Agricultural Society

The Cochrane Agricultural Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering community pride, with a particular focus on agriculture and heritage. It organizes the Cochrane Fall Fair, described as Ontario’s most northern fall fair and Northern Ontario’s oldest annual fall fair. The event brings together visitors, exhibitors, vendors, volunteers, and local businesses, and offers opportunities for anyone to become a member and exhibit. The Society provides information and guidance for fair visitors and participants, including an exhibitor’s guide and exhibit standards, and invites community members to volunteer or take part as vendors.

Businesses can support the fair and promote their services by sponsoring a sign on the perimeter fence surrounding the fairgrounds. The Society notes that these signs are visible not only during the fair but also to people visiting the grounds for activities such as shopping at the market, gardening, curling, skiing, and baseball. Sponsorship includes a one-time setup fee, annual renewal at a low rate, and replacement of damaged signs at no charge.
