Established in 1980, Coco Farm & Winery was created by parents and supporters who shared the belief that individuals with intellectual disabilities should have the opportunity to thrive and showcase their abilities. Located in Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, this brand not only produces and sells exceptional wines but also operates a designated support facility called Kokoromi Gakuen.

The journey began in the 1950s when students and their teacher, Mr. Noboru Kawada, developed vineyards on the steep slopes of a mountain. In 1969, Kokoromi Gakuen was established at the foot of these vineyards to support individuals with disabilities.

Inspired to make wine with these remarkable individuals, an independent company, Coco Farm & Winery, was founded in 1980 to obtain the necessary license. In 1984, the company received the fruit liquor manufacturing license, and since then, Coco Farm & Winery has been crafting high-quality wines.
