Code For Nature

Code For Nature is a software development company focused on biodiversity and nature conservation. Active in the field since 2012, and formerly known as SiSol Systems, it uses modern technology to support scientific work and public participation in conservation. The company works with biologists and organizations worldwide to turn nature-related projects into accessible digital tools.

Its Local Cosmos platform is a no-code builder for creating apps and websites for species identification, monitoring, education, and citizen science. Projects can include digital identification keys, species profiles, glossaries, observation forms, and maps with taxonomic filters. The platform automatically creates Android and iOS apps as well as a project website, and supports offline use.

Code For Nature also provides custom app and website development and design, project-specific color schemes, logos and icons, and scientific graphics and illustrations. Its services include personal customer support, plus administration and maintenance of Local Cosmos servers. The company offers free, no-obligation consultations to discuss potential projects.
